چکیده
as to histolÃ3gica! type according to the Rye classification, patients with the lymphocytic predominance type of the disease had the best prognosis, those with the nodular sclerosis type had the 2nd best, those with the mixed cellularity type had the 3rd best, and those with the lymphocytic depletion type had the poorest prognosis. In two of the remaining three series, the 5-year survival rate was the same for the mixed cellularity and lymphocytic depletion groups; otherwise, the ranking was identical. In the eighth series, the ranking was the same, except for the fact that patients with the nodular sclerosing type had a slightly better survival rate than those with the lymphocytic predominance type. In all eight studies, there was a clear-cut difference in the survival rates between the nodular sclerosis and mixed cellularity groups. In spite of differences in the types of institutions, and therefore possibly of the patients included and therapy given, and questionable errors in histolÃ3gica! classification in four of the series, there were only four variations from the ranking as to prognosis of the four histolÃ3gica! types in the eight series. A comparison of the series as to the percentage of patients, sex distribution, clinical stage, and survival rates in each histological group suggests that, in some series, the histological type of Hodgkin's

Background and Aim: This study aimed to analyze the factors affecting time and experience of relapse in the patients with Hodgkin's lymphoma, using cure fraction. Material and Methods: This retrospective study included all the patients diagnosed as Hodgkin's lymphoma in the Center for oncology and hematology in Shafa Hospital in Ahwaz City from 2002 to 2012. We used survival analysis and cure f...
متن کاملClinicopathological study of gastrointestinal Lymphomas and their survival in the patients referred to Yazd hospitals during 2011 to 2016
Introduction: Malignant lymphoma is divided into two subgroups of Hodgkin's and non-Hodgkin's, and 40% of them occur in areas other than the lymph node, the most common being the digestive tract. According to studies, in recent years the prevalence of non-Hodgkin's lymphomas has increased over the past. Therefore, in this study, we investigated the gastrointestinal lymphoma and the survival rat...
متن کاملEvaluation of risk factors of recurrence of hodgkin\'s lymphoma using random survival forest and comparison with cox regression model
Background: In many studies, Cox regression was used to assess the important factors that affect the survival of cancer patients based on demographic and clinical variables. The aim of this study was to determine the factors affecting the survival of patients with Hodgkin's lymphoma using the random survival forest (RSF) method and compare it with the Cox model. Methods: In this retrospective ...
متن کاملStudy of the ratio of Treg/Th1 and Treg/Th2 lymphocytes in Hodgkin's lymphoma patients and its relationship with disease prognosis
Background and purpose: CD4+CD25+FOXP3+ regulatory T cells (CD4+CD25+FOXP3+ Tregs) are a group of T lymphocytes that play an important role in regulating immune system responses by suppressing the activity of other T cells and establishing homeostasis in the immune system. Th1 and Th2 cells are other groups of CD4+ cells that play important functions in inducing inflammatory immune responses. C...
